It’s always mentioned that the ideal ratio of 5:1 Blue and Red light are best for plant growth, while full spectrum light in sunlight makes us fall in the premonition of finding an even better option.

Recently LED grow light manufacturer has introduced ‘Purple Light’ that is mostly of red and blue diodes with a decent amount of white diodes mixed in it. The purple lights are best suited for vegetables and flower plants growing.

The smaller the ratio of red-blue, more the purple or the larger the red-blue ratio, pinkish it appears.

According to the ideal ratio 5:1, red diodes are more than blue, thus resembling more pinkish than purplish- thus can be called ‘Blurple’.
