Gardening and landscaping comes under outdoor planting. It is apparently a simpler and most affordable means of adorning your yard with plants, shrubs and trees. Adding colors to your garden is much easier by adding vivid floral plants. Here are some tips to make your job easier.

Requirements:

  • Utility knife
  • Spade
  • Soil mix
  • Water

Planting from container:

  1. Dig a wider and deeper hole in your garden. Make sure the hole is wider than the container and in the position of adequate sunlight.
  2. Gently press the bottom soil inside the hole so that when planted, the plant won’t sink.
  3. Remove the container cover by gripping on to the base of its stem and pry off the root ball lump from it.
  4. If the roots are massive, coiled, slit the tip of the root into 3-4 narrow ends and loosen them for new root generation.
  5. Place the plant into the hole and fix the root ball at depth. Fill up the hole with ground soil and soil mix. Gently press around the plant to firm the position, later add some water.
  6. Initially add water in little amounts as the excess of water may loosen the topsoil and decay the roots.
