Pruning is a practice of removing diseased, damaged, dead parts of the plants that are said to be non-productive. Most of the time branches, buds and roots are prior to pruning.

While Trimming is cutting back overgrown branches and stems of plants, especially to increase fruitfulness and growth. Both areĀ  widely used in Horticulture and greenhouse.
