A slight change in climatic condition causes drastic growth distortion in course of time. Cannabis cultivation absolutely depends upon environmental factors. An artificial climate is to provide an ideal zone for plant growth. The equipments should necessarily satisfy:

Grow Space

Sufficient grow space is required for the cultivation. The space must be tall enough to accommodate the plant height and to hag the grow light far above the plant to avoid plant burning.

The closed space must be tightly sealed, with light penetration. The walls, ceiling and flooring are to be white and reflexive in order to dedicate all grow light for plant growth.

Two openings are needed for ventilation, one at bottom of one side of the wall and the other at the top of the other. Outlets for the plugging in of lighting, fan and power cords. And ceiling frames for grow light hanging.

Lighting Loads

Calculate the light required based on the grow room layout. Choose with light bulbs and fixtures apt for your cannabis strains and growth phase.

Subject to the yield you require, for (1)high yield use HID(high intensity discharge) bulbs which emit high heat; low light. Recommended, MH bulbs in vegetative phase while HPS bulbs during flowering phase.

(2)low yield for extraction, use LED or CMH(ceramic metal halides) bulbs with high light, low heat to preserve bulk essence within the flower.

In vegetative stage, cannabis needs 18-24 hours of light, flowering stage of 10-12 hours and a minimum of 12 hours darkness (photoperiod) for efficient grow.

The average PAR(photosynthesis active radiation) output of the light should be within 1200 PAR.

Irrigation

Watering and fertilizing take up the role of nurturing the pants well-off. It can be done manually or automated. In the first few grow cycles manual attention is most preferable, well later when knowing the optimal-sufficient measure automated irrigation is recommended.

In most cases, the hydroponic system you choose will look after irrigation requirements, and intimates reloads when needed.

Grow System

Rather than simple, inexpensive- Soil, it is most referred to use seemingly versatile Hydropic Systems for Cannabis grow. There are 5 main types of hydroponic systems that are suitable for different kinds of grow methods, which utilizes multiple soilless mediums as grow substrate

Every hydroponic equipment be disinfected with isopropyl alcohol, bleach solution and filled with pH neutral-RO treated water, nutrient rich solution.

Air Circulation and Ventilation

Circulation is the movement of air within the room while carrying the stale air out and fresh air in is the ventilation. Both circulation and ventilation keeps the plant healthy and supports the growth.

Exhaust fan and Intake fan at opposite ends of the room. Check for the CFM(cubic feet per minute) rating of the fan that is higher than volume of the room in cubic feet. The general idea is that the CFM rating should be three folds greater than room volume.

The in-line ducts are very easy to install. The installation is similar to connecting a flexible duct to the dryer at one end and at the other end to exhaust /intake holes provided to the room.

Carbon Supply

Plants transpire using the surrounding air molecule. Plants survive on Carbon dioxide for their metabolism. Supplying additional CO2 to the room increases overall yield.

COcan be added to the room simply pumping CO2 from tanks or melting the dry ice inside the room or by placing CO2 canisters/bags inside the room that slowly releases over periods of time. CO2 should always be added from top of the room; front of circulating fans. Make sure to monitor CO2 by measuring through CO2meter and its level around 900 ppm in vegetative phase and 1150 ppm during flowering phase.
